Anne Emerson
Anne Emerson lives in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. After a long career in university and museum administration she now spends time on her two greatest loves: painting and writing. Children grown (artists Josephine and Hannah Burr), she spends her mornings writing and her afternoons painting, with time out for gardening and cooking and meditating. Several winter months are spent in Paris with her husband Peter Altman, founding artistic director of the Huntington Theater in Boston. She is member of a large extended family that shares a summer home in Penobscot Bay in Maine. If you have read Letters from Erastus you know a lot more about her!
